The Australian Nursing Federation is the peak nursing & Midwifery organisation in Australia, representing 150,00 nurses & midwives professionally & industrially.
The Federation is comprised of a National Office in Canberra & Melbourne with branches in each state and territory.
The ANF promotes and works to protect the interests of members and in particular, aims to provide professional and industrial leadership for both the nursing and midwifery industry and the broader health sector.
The ANF also participates in developing and promoting high standards of nursing & Midwifery practice.
A main objective of the ANF is to participate in policy-making at a national, state and territory level.
ANF’s areas of involvement include health, community services, aged care, education, training, occupational health and safety, industrial relations and law reform.
ANF is at the forefront of campaigns to defend members’ workplace rights and to protect and improve our healthcare system and institutions.
