Paying your ANF Subscription by Direct Debit
What
is "Direct Debit"?
Direct
Debit is a simple way to pay your union subscriptions. You can
arrange to have your contributions deducted each fortnight through
your bank, building society or credit union, provided you have
a cheque account or Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) account, ie.
keycard, flexicard, rediteller etc, (not a saving or passbook
account).
How
Do I Arrange Direct Debit?
Simply
complete the attached authority and return it to the ANF office
(not your financial institution).
What does it cost me? As a general rule, there is no charge for
direct debit other than a
rejection fee when applicable. However you should check with
your bank for any special charges that may apply.
Important
It
is important to understand that the ANF ACT Branch will only
use this authority to debit regular fortnightly fees, unless
we are specifically instructed by you to debit your account additional
amounts outstanding for overdue subscriptions.
Note In the event of a problem occurring with the processing of your direct debit, please keep the ANF ACT Branch advised of your contact telephone numbers at all times.
Once
your authority has been returned to the ANF ACT Branch, your
details are recorded and forwarded to your respective bank, building
society or credit union as soon as possible.
Your
account is then debited the amount as advised by the ANF ACT
Branch, ie. one fortnight's fees, which is then credited to your
membership account within the ACT Branch.
You
must ensure that there are sufficient funds each fortnight in
your account to cover this transaction. Insufficient funds will
incur a charge and your authority is automatically cancelled.
How
to Cancel
Simply
advise the ANF ACT Branch in writing and we will cease the deductions
immediately.
Please
Note
There
may be a delay from the time of your signing the authority and
your account actually being debited, which may result in some
outstanding fees.
If
this is the case then you will receive an account from the Branch
covering that period prior to your debit authority taking effect.
Change
of subscription rates will be advised through ANF ACT Branch
Newsletters.
All enquires
should be directed to the Branch on 02 6282 9455 or by Email:
